Editorial Policy
AthliFly publishes beginner-first running content designed to be clear, evidence-aware, and honest about uncertainty. This page explains how we research, write, review, and update our content, and the standards we apply before anything is published.
Research First. Clarity Always. Hype Never.
AthliFly exists to turn sports science, running mechanics, footwear logic, and beginner training principles into information ordinary runners can actually use. We do not aim to recycle brand language, overstate weak evidence, or present simplified content as a substitute for medical care.
1. Editorial mission
Our mission is to help beginners make better running decisions with content that is practical, readable, and evidence-aware. We write for runners who want honest guidance on shoes, training structure, common pain-related questions, and movement concepts without inflated claims or false certainty.
2. What we cover
AthliFly generally publishes content across the following areas:
- Beginner running education.
- Footwear guidance for beginners, including flat-feet and stability-related topics.
- Biomechanics explained in plain language.
- Training structure for people starting from zero or restarting after repeated setbacks.
3. Sources we prioritize
We prioritize peer-reviewed research, recognized academic and clinical literature, and credible technical sources where product verification is needed. Depending on the topic, that may include journal articles, academic databases, institutional sources, and official product specifications.
We do not build content around influencer opinions, anonymous forum claims, or marketing copy unless those claims are being examined critically.
4. How content is developed
Our process usually starts with a real beginner problem, not a keyword alone. We identify the question, review relevant evidence, compare that evidence with real-world product categories or training advice, remove weak or exaggerated claims, and then rewrite the material into plain English without stripping out the important tradeoffs.
5. How we evaluate evidence
We do not treat all studies as equally strong. We look at study design, peer-review status, consistency with broader evidence, practical relevance, and whether the conclusion being presented is actually supported by the underlying data.
When uncertainty exists, we prefer to state that uncertainty directly rather than pretend the evidence is stronger or cleaner than it is.
6. Product and shoe recommendations
AthliFly does not approach shoe guidance as sales copy. When we discuss products, we focus on functional characteristics such as geometry, use case, stability logic, structural tradeoffs, and whether a recommendation makes sense for the type of beginner problem being discussed.
A recommendation is not a claim that one shoe works for everyone. It is an editorial judgment based on the intended use case, the product鈥檚 design logic, and the limits of what can responsibly be said in educational content.
7. Editorial independence
Our editorial decisions are intended to remain independent. Commercial relationships, affiliate links, or brand visibility should not determine whether a product, claim, or topic is treated positively.
If affiliate links appear on the site, they do not lower the standard that a recommendation must meet before publication.
8. Medical and legal boundaries
AthliFly is an educational website, not a medical clinic, diagnostic service, or treatment provider. Our content does not diagnose injuries, prescribe treatment, or replace individualized medical evaluation.
If a runner has persistent pain, swelling, worsening symptoms, or any issue that may require clinical assessment, the appropriate next step is a licensed physician or physical therapist.
9. Corrections and updates
We may update content when evidence changes, a product changes materially, an article becomes outdated, or an error or omission is identified. Maintaining accuracy over time is part of our editorial standard, not an optional extra.
10. How we write for beginners
Research is often technical, fragmented, or difficult for beginners to use directly. Our job is to preserve the logic, reduce unnecessary jargon, and explain only what can be communicated responsibly in a beginner-readable format.
We do not simplify by pretending every answer is clean. We simplify by removing noise while keeping the real tradeoffs visible.
11. Publication standard
Before publication, each piece should pass a simple test: Does this genuinely help a skeptical beginner make a better decision without misleading them?
If the answer is no, the piece is not ready.
AthliFly does not publish from trends, vague motivation, or brand pressure. We aim to publish from structured review, evidence-aware judgment, and a clear beginner-first standard.
12. Contact and feedback
If you believe an article should be corrected, clarified, or updated, please contact us through the website contact page or the contact details published on AthliFly. Responsible feedback supports accuracy, clarity, and editorial accountability.
